Counselor
Deneé earned a Master of Science Degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. While working on her degree, she began her career as an educator. Over the course of a decade, Deneé taught both elementary and high school, ending her career in education as an elementary school counselor. She has 6 years of experience working in private practice as a counselor.
Deneé’s education and training have provided her experience in working with various age groups and populations, as well as presenting concerns. Personal experiences have given Deneé a unique passion for working with those who feel the need to be the strong one. She hopes to provide a space where clients can openly address their concerns and collaboratively create steps that move them toward becoming the person they were destined to be. She believes that healing happens in the context of trusted relationships and considers it an honor to walk alongside and learn from her clients.
After experiencing traumatic pregnancies/birthing experiences and suffering from perinatal depression and anxiety, she developed a desire to work with women struggling with similar experiences. Certifications: PMH-C, PWP, CCHP
